David Auman
Mr. Auman is a Partner and Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Identification Technology Partners, Inc. Mr. Auman has extensive background in software and hardware engineering with over 34 years of experience in development of on-line and real-time systems for the government and private industry. He has held senior technical posts in the design, implementation and marketing of smart card and key management systems since 1994 with particular focus on integration of smart card, PKI and biometrics technologies since 2001. His background in smart cards and PKI encompasses commercial, government and military applications of smart cards including physical and logical access control, DoD and Intelligence Community command and control, electronic payment, telecom and multi-application campus card systems. Mr. Auman has actively served in or lead numerous government smart card standards activities, associated working groups, system specifications and program implementations. Mr. Auman led the technical development of TWIC physical access control reader testing under the TWIC Qualified Technology List (QTL) program where he currently acts as a certified test lab evaluator responsible for qualification of NVLAP test labs working with NIST. Mr. Auman is currently acting as the lead biometrics and smart card SME on the TSA Technology Infrastructure Modernization (TIM) program. Mr. Auman holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is an STA Certified Smart Card Industry Professional (CSCIP).
