Kevin Chan
Kevin Chan is a consultant with over 8 years of experience in the biometrics, focusing on face recognition and standards development. His experiences span across academia, corporate research, and government identity programs. He got his start at the Purdue University International Center for Biometric Research, where he was both lecturer and researcher. As a Purdue graduate staff, he provided the state of Indiana research on biometric matching stability, privacy issues, fingerprint entropy, human subject biometric collection of infants, and mugshot compliance in face recognition. During his career, he has provided support for military biometric interoperability, biometrics in law enforcement, and expanding civil identity programs. He currently participates in the InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS) M1 Biometrics standards development groups, and editor for the ISO Joint Technical Committee 1 SubCommittee 37 that governs international biometric standards.
